First of all, thank you for taking the time to visit this site. It is my hope that you have precisely what I need in a Tutor so that I can take this page down immediately and put you to work in the fun and rewarding tuition position I have available.
So, let me tell you about myself, my company, and the tutor position.
My name is Jack Glossop, and I run a tuition company called Tutor First in Gomersal, Cleckheaton.
My business is dedicated to helping children gain confidence, access education, and academic progress through our customised individualised tuition programmes.
But more children need our help.
I’m looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person to start tutoring some of our current clients and gaining some new clients.
All clients begin with an initial assessment and a 6-week target-driven programme that includes gaps from previous learning, misconceptions of their subject choice (Maths, English, or both), and areas to progress for up-to-date learning.
If you are hired for this tutor position, you’ll begin tutoring clients in the studio one evening a week for 3-4 hours with the prospect of additional evenings.
My centre offers a casual, fun environment, a range of teaching devices and the opportunity to progress as a teacher and as a person.
You will be compensated fairly and treated fairly, and I will certainly look for ways to pay you more for your efforts if they warrant it. I want someone who enjoys working with people and making a difference in the lives of children and their families…because that’s what we do in my education centre.
Required Skills
Relevant Teaching Qualifications: You don’t need teaching experience, but you should have a working knowledge of the curriculum and hold a minimum of a degree in teaching, including QTS (Qualified Teaching Status).
Good communication skills: You will talk with students and parents, who are VERY important to me. You must be comfortable conversing in person, know how to conduct yourself professionally and deliver clear instructions to students and parents. I’ll teach you everything you need to do during a training session, but I can’t teach you manners and professionalism.
People skills and personality :must LOVE working with people! As mentioned above, you must be very comfortable working with people. This is an exciting centre, and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them.
If you have these additional skills, your CV will go right to the top of the stack (but if you don’t have these skills, you should still apply because these are not mandatory).
Previous teaching and tuition experience (Primary, secondary, behaviour units, etc).
SEN knowledge and experience
Masters and further qualifications.
