Who We Are And What We Do

At Tutor First, we have created an encouraging community of students and tutors that will make your child's academic journey enjoyable and will support you and your child to achieve their goals.

Who We Are

We are a small tuition centre in Gomersal with a passion for helping and supporting students to achieve their goals and learn to enjoy their academic studies and make education more accessible.

All sessions at Tutor First are lead by one of our tutors in order to ensure your child is getting the most our of their tuition, teaching an individualised programme and keeping you up to date with all their progress. Our tutors use their knowledge and experience as teachers to apply to our tuition sessions and target the gaps your children have to ensure they can catch up, keep up and never give up.

Our tutors make each session enjoyable and accessible to make it easier for your child to attend each week to make sure they achieve the results they deserve.

Who We Help

Our clients range from 4 years of age to 16 years of age, all abilities, all backgrounds but we all support each other with the same commitment of making progress towards achieving their goals whilst providing accountability and enjoyment to their experience at Tutor First.

My Story

In 2019, I was 25 years old, working two jobs; full-time teacher and part-time tutor.

I loved my jobs but saw a distinction. I couldn't help as much through teaching as I could through tuition.

I had 34 children in my class with a range of needs, language barriers, behaviour concerns and more. On top of that, as a teacher, I had all the admin to complete - planning lessons, marking 120+ pieces of work a day and on and on.

The bottom line, I felt I was giving my students all the support they could recieve.

Then, Tutor First was born.

In that time, we have helped hundreds of students catch up with their academic work, find a passion for their hated subject and pass their exams.
